1. At the moment, we do new registrations only***, for adults and children older than 2 years. We are currently not licensed to do updates or modifications. Registration is also not permitted if you have a BVN** whose first three digits are: 221. or 222.2. If not done already, get your NPC number from nationalpopulation.gov.ng and submit it, along with your basic info through www.nin.center/nin3. If you are getting a NIN for passport application purpose, ensure that the name and date of birth on your NPC certificate exactly match the data on your current/expired Nigerian Passport, or is exactly as you would like to appear if getting a passport for the first time. We are unable to edit your biodata from NPC.4. Book your appointment. You will receive a confirmation of your appointment within 24 hours only if you had completed step 2.5. Be early to your appointment with the required document*.NB:***NIN Delivery estimate: you'll receive your NIN by email, approx. 1 to 3 weeks after biometrics appointment, provided there are no previous registration. Fee is $200 total, payable at the NIN office -in cash or by e-transfer only. No card payments.**Some Bank Verification Number (BVN) already have NIN auto-generated from it. New registration is not allowed in this case. Reach out to directly to NIMC Nigeria (nimc.gov.ng) to obtain your NIN.*Document: Nigerian passport (or a copy, current or expired) or other proof of Nigerian citizenship e.g. birth certificate (Nigerian, or Canadian showing birth parents as Nigerian).
